Zoo Beeze
aka
King Nate
Is a Rapper & Engineer both born and raised in the Co-Op-City section of the North Bronx, he began rapping at the age of nine. Like most MC’s Zoo started off battling his peers in his middle school, neighborhood, and writing to popular instrumentals before beginning to record his own original music at the age of twelve.
EARLY INFLUENCES
Born to teen parents, Rap/Hip Hop was always prevalent in his household. Some of Zoo’s main musical influences consist of Funkadelic, Bob Marley, Brian Wilson, The Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, Cam’ron, Big Pun, MF DOOM, 50 Cent, CurrenSy, Max B, and Gucci Mane. With such a wide variety of influences Zoo’s music in a nutshell is an unique blend of lyrical content provided in his verses, while still providing melody & catchiness you can vibe out too.
ENGINEERING
After spending many years recording himself as well as other local artists and briefly studying music technology at Mercy college from 2008-2010, in 2015 Zoo began making strides in the music industry through engineering. He started working as an assistant to Robert “LB” Dorsey & Miki Tsutsumi at MBK’s Oz studios, then as head engineer for Vinyl Crown recordings. That tutelage has parlayed into a fruitful freelance career. Zoo has worked with a “who’s who” list of artists & producers in the Hip Hop & R&B world as a recording and mix engineer.
What’s Next……
Zoo dropped his highly anticipated project ‘Mise En Place’ with frequent collaborators LV, Sal Dali & Marvino Beats November 2024 to much acclaim. 2025 sees more consistency with his newest offering ‘Bendicion’ Produced by Marz Muzik. An ode to the Bronx of sorts, Zoo uses story telling and wit to paint pictures of his New York upbringing, the man he has become & a culmination of his life experiences. We also look forward to Decembers now as Zoo has been doing 25 days of freestyles the past 2 years! Zoo Beeze is an artist with ambition and tremendous upside, he plans on steamrolling through this year and beyond.
